Are there group rates?

Whether at the museum or on a train journey, we offer group rates for groups of 20 or more paying guests. If you would like to make a reservation for a group equal to or greater than this capacity, please call us on 060/31.24.40 or contact us by e-mail: secretariat@cfv3v.eu.

What’s the difference between #CFV3V and #MCFV3V?

Apart from the letter M, which changes, the acronym CFV3V stands for Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des 3 Vallées, the association that operates railroad line 132 between Mariembourg and Treignes, in other words, steam and diesel trains.

The acronym MCFV3V stands for Musée du Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des 3 Vallées. The museum’s management association looks after the museum and the exhibition of locomotives, carriages, vans and other railway and industrial equipment on display at Treignes.

The 2 associations are quite distinct from each other, even if on a day-to-day basis they collaborate and work together to safeguard our railway heritage.

Can we eat there? On the train?

Eating is not permitted on board the train (except for the train-restaurant formula – check out the season’s events). Light meals (pasta, croque-monsieur, lasagne, cheese sandwiches) are available at the Treignes museum, the terminus station. In Mariembourg, some snacks are available à la carte. Picnics are permitted, subject to consumption on site.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, under your own responsibility. We decline all responsibility in case of incident or accident. We draw your attention to the environment around and inside the train, which may bring unusual noises, smells and sensations for your dog, and modify his behavior.

Can I take my bike on board the train?

We can transport your bike on steam trains at no extra charge, subject to availability.
!! Unfortunately, the Nismes and Vierves stops cannot be served.

Is the train accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Our steam trains also have a carriage accessible to people with reduced mobility. Book the PMR carriage by contacting us several days before your arrival, so that we can give you the best possible welcome. Unfortunately, the Nismes and Vierves stops are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
